    Judith F. Baca, UCLA Professor Emeritus and one of America’s leading visual artists will engage in a conversation led by host Rosina Becerra, UCLA Professor Emeritus, Social Work and Ethnomusicology. Professor Baca has been creating outstanding public art for four decades. Her public murals focus on revealing and reconciling diverse peoples’ struggles for their rights and reflect the lives and concerns of populations that have been historically disenfranchised, including women, the working poor, youth, the elderly and immigrant communities, throughout Los Angeles, nationally and internationally.

    11 am – 4 pm
    The Sylvia Winstein UCLA Emeriti/Retiree Arts & Crafts Exhibit, first joint exhibit sponsored by the two organizations, features 20+ emeriti and retiree artists. Their works include a wide range of media from photography, drawing and painting to sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, weaving and calligraphy.
    Featured artists are Jill Waterman, a watercolor artist from the Emeriti Association and Michelle Shin, a landscape painter representing the Retiree Association.

    For 2024-2025, Emeriti Association programming will be offered in-person and/or Zoom. Watch for any updates closer to the event date. To ensure that you receive invitations and the opportunity to sign up for in-person events and Zoom sessions, provide the ERRC (Emeriti/Retirees Relations Center) with your current email address.
