On September 28, 2019, Emeritus Professor, Chuck Berst passed away.
Chuck Berst was a longtime pillar of the Emeriti Association, and served as the UCLA representative to the Council of UC Emeriti Associations. He brought the research work, teaching, scholarly production, and professional service of emeriti/emeritae to the attention of all through his tireless work on the Bio-Bibliographic Survey of UC Emeriti in Research, Teaching, and Professional Service, which Chuck called the “Eleventh Campus.” He was also instrumental in the establishment of Belmont Village for emeriti/retiree housing.
